TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF

   EXTREME EASTERN NEBRASKA                           
   SOUTHWEST IOWA                               
   NORTHWEST MISSOURI                           

EFFECTIVE THIS TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY MORNING FROM 645 PM
UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT.

TORNADOES...HAIL TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS
TO 80 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.

THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS ALONG AND 60 STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST
OF A LINE FROM 50 MILES NORTH NORTHEAST OF OMAHA NEBRASKA TO 45
MILES WEST SOUTHWEST OF SPICKARD MISSOURI.

SOUTHWEST IOWA/NORTHWEST MISSOURI THIS EVENING IN ADVANCE OF UPPER
LEVEL VORTICITY MAX MOVING EASTWARD ACROSS SOUTHERN NEBRASKA.  VAD
WIND PROFILES FROM OAX AND EAX INDICATE STRONG WINDS THAT VEER WITH
HEIGHT SUGGESTING POTENTIAL FOR SUPERCELLS. 


AVIATION...TORNADOES AND A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL
SURFACE AND ALOFT TO 2 INCHES.  EXTREME TURBULENCE AND SURFACE WIND
