THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHARLESTON HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  NICHOLAS COUNTY IN CENTRAL WEST VIRGINIA.

* UNTIL 940 PM EDT.

* AT 735 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  THAT HEAVY RAIN HAS FALLEN ACROSS A SMALL AREA IN NORTHERN
  NICHOLAS COUNTY. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF OVER ONE AND A HALF INCHES IN
  AN HOUR HAVE OCCURRED WEST AND SOUTHWEST OF THE BIRCH RIVER
  COMMUNITY. THE MAIN THREAT OF FLASH FLOODING IS ALONG SPRING
  BOTTOM RUN...LOWER MILL CREEK...STRANGE CREEK...AND LICK RUN.
