THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RENO HAS ISSUED A

*    SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...
     IN EASTERN CALIFORNIA
          CENTRAL PLACER COUNTY

*    UNTIL 500 PM PDT

*    DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A STRONG THUNDERSTORM ALONG THE      
     SIERRA CREST AND WAS PRODUCING LARGE HAIL AND HEAVY RAIN.
     
*    THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WILL BE NEAR THE DONNER SUMMIT AREA
     BY 445 PM PDT. 

MARBLE SIZE HAIL WAS REPORTED COVERING PORTIONS OF HIGHWAY 89
NEAR SQUAW VALLEY.  

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...
HEAVY RAIN...AND DEADLY LIGHTNING.  FOR YOUR PROTECTION MOVE TO
