THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RENO HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  SIERRA COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL CALIFORNIA

* UNTIL 615 PM PDT

* AT 500 PM PDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR
  INDICATED A THUNDERSTORM WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN NEAR SIERRAVILLE IN
  CENTRAL SIERRA COUNTY.  THE SIERRA COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTED WATER
  OVER HIGHWAY 89 AT CALPINE.  THE THUNDERSTORM SHOWED LITTLE
  MOVEMENT.

* INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN AND SMALL HAIL
  ARE LIKELY OVER PORTIONS OF SIERRA COUNTY OVER THE NEXT HOUR.
  DOPPLER RADAR INDICATES RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF THREE QUARERS OF AN
  INCH PER HOUR ARE POSSIBLE.

AREA RESIDENTS SHOULD MONITOR FLOOD CONDITIONS...AND BE PREPARED
TO MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND...SHOULD FLOOD WATERS THREATEN.  IF FLASH
FLOODING IS OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MJOVE TO HIGHER GROUND TO
