000 TTAA00 KRDU 171113 FFWRDU NCC167-171315- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RALEIGH NC 612 AM EST TUE FEB 17 1998 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RALEIGH HAS ISSUED A * FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR STANLY COUNTY * UNTIL 815 AM EST * SOME AREAS THAT MAY BE AFFECTED ARE: HIGHWAY 24 AND 27 IN SOUTHWEST STANLY COUNTY HIGHWAY 52 NEAR NORWOOD * STANLY COUNTY OFFICIALS REPORT SEVERAL SWOLLEN CREEKS ACROSS THE COUNTY WITH WATER COMING ONTO THE ROADS NEAR THE CREEKS. RESIDENTS SHOULD MOVE TO SAFE SHELTER IMMEDIATELY IF FLOODING IS OBSERVED. MOTORISTS SHOULD NEVER DRIVE THROUGH WATER-COVERED ROADS.
