NORTHEAST NEW JERSEY AND SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NEW YORK NY 400 PM EDT FRI MAY 29 1998 ...THERE IS A CHANCE FOR STRONG THUNDERSTORMS THROUGH EARLY TONIGHT... WITH A WARM...MOIST...UNSTABLE AIRMASS IN PLACE...LINES OF SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE SOUTHEAST ACROSS THE REGION THROUGH EARLY TONIGHT AS A COLD FRONT APPROACHES. A FEW THUNDERSTORMS MAY PRODUCE STRONG GUSTY WINDS AND HEAVY DOWNPOURS. THE AREA MOST VULNERABLE TO THESE STORMS EXTENDS FROM NORTHWEST TO NORTHEAST OF NEW YORK CITY.
