THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NEW YORK HAS ISSUED A

* FLOOD WARNING FOR URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOODING
  NORTHEASTERN NEW LONDON COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN CONNECTICUT

* UNTIL 645 PM EDT

* AT 410 PM...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SLOW MOVING SEVERE
THUNDERSTORM JUST NORTHEAST OF NORWICH.  MOVEMENT WAS EAST AT 15
MPH.  UP TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN HAS ALREADY FALLEN WITH THIS STORM.
AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN IS POSSIBLE WITH THIS STORM
BEFORE IT MOVES OUT OF THE COUNTY.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED
QUICKLY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
