IN EAST TENNESSEE ...BRADLEY COUNTY...CAMPBELL COUNTY...CUMBERLAND COUNTY ...FENTRESS COUNTY...HAMILTON COUNTY...MCMINN COUNTY...MEIGS COUNTY ...MORGAN COUNTY...RHEA COUNTY...ROANE COUNTY...SCOTT COUNTY FLOODING FROM HEAVY RAINS HAS BEGUN TO OCCUR ALONG THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU AND AREAS JUST TO THE EAST. HEAVY RAIN IN THE MOUNTAINS AND LOWLANDS IS CAUSING WIDESPREAD FLOODING OF STREAMS AND ROADWAYS. NUMEROUROADS HAVE BEEN CLOSED AND CLOSURES WILL LIKELY CONTINUE. THE RAIN CAUSING THIS SITUATION EXTENDS INTO THE DEEP SOUTH AND THE WHOLE SYSTEM IS MOVING VERY SLOWLY EASTWARD. MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN WILL CONTINUE THROUGH TODAY AND OVERNIGHT. A FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT. MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
