ISSUED A

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...
  REDWOOD COUNTY IN SOUTHWESTERN MINNESOTA

* UNTIL 320 AM CDT

* AT 232 AM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE STORM WITH LARGE
  HAIL NEAR WALNUT GROVE OR ABOUT 25 MILES SOUTHWEST OF REDWOOD
  FALLS.  THE STORM WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH.

THE STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS FORECASTED A RISK OF SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS OVER A GOOD PORTION OF SOUTHERN MINNESOTA AND PARTS OF
WESTERN WISCONSIN THIS MORNING THROUGH THIS EVENING.

A LOW PRESSURE AREA OVER NEBRASKA IS EXPECTED TO STRENGTHEN AS IT MOVES
INTO EASTERN SOUTH DAKOTA THIS AFTERNOON.  ITS ASSOCIATED WARM FRONT
WILL MOVE FROM IOWA INTO CENTRAL MINNESOTA THIS EVENING.  THESE FORCING
MECHANISMS ALONG WITH AN ALREADY SATURATED ATMOSPHERE WILL PROVIDE THE
INGREDIENTS FOR NUMEROUS THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS SOUTHERN MINNESOTA AND
WEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN.

THE MAIN THREAT WITH THE THUNDERSTORMS THIS MORNING THROUGH THIS
EVENING WILL BE STRONG WIND GUSTS AND HAIL.

LOCAL SEVERE WEATHER SPOTTERS SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR ACTIVATION AT ANY
TIME TODAY.
