THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MEMPHIS HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  OBION COUNTY IN WESTERN TENNESSEE

* UNTIL 655 AM CDT

* AT 1 30 AM CDT... NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  AN AREA OF HEAVY RAIN EXTENDING FROM NORTHEAST ARKANSAS EASTWARD
  ACROSS THE MISSOURI BOOTHEEL AND ACROSS THE NORTHERN MOST COUNTIES
  OF WEST TENNESSEE MOVING EAST AT 40 MPH.

* FLOODING WAS REPORTED NEAR THE OBION RIVER DUE TO A LEVEE BREAK.
  IN ADDITION THE OBION RIVER IS UP TO ITS BANKS. ROADS  THROUGHOUT
  THE COUNTY ARE COVERED WITH WATER AND THE GROUND IS SATURATED DUE
  TO PREVIOUS RAINS MONDAY EVENING. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL FOR THE
  REMAINDER OF TONIGHT WILL BE RUNOFF AND CAUSE ADDITIONAL FLOODING.

.MOST DEATHS IN FLASH FLOODING OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT ATTEMPT
TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL ONE...ON FOOT.
