THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ST LOUIS HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  MONITEAU COUNTY IN CENTRAL MISSOURI

* UNTIL 1250 PM CDT

* HEAVY RAINS DURING THE EARLY MORNING HOURS HAVE PRODUCED FLOODING
  ACROSS MONITEAU COUNTY.  AT 840 AM...THE MONITEAU COUNTY SHERIFFS
  OFFICE REPORTED THAT MOST LOW WATER CROSSING IN THE COUNTY ARE NOW
  IMPASSIBLE.  IN ADDITION...WATER IS NOW COVERING ONE LANE OF
  HIGHWAY 50 EAST OF CALIFORNIA.

* RADAR INDICATES THAT MODERATE TO OCCASIONALLY HEAVY RAIN WILL
  CONTINUE THROUGHOUT THE MORNING...WITH ADDITIONAL RAINFALLS OF
  1 TO 2 INCHES POSSIBLE BY MIDDAY.

  MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER ATTEMPT TO
  CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW-WATER CROSSINGS IF WATER COVERS THE
  ROAD. DO NOT DRIVE AROUND BARRICADES. IF YOUR VEHICLE STALLS
  ABANDON IT IMMEDIATELY AND SEEK HIGHER GROUND. RAPIDLY RISING
  WATER MAY SWEEP THE VEHICLE AND ITS OCCUPANTS AWAY.
