806 WUUS1 KLCH 010838 RRA SVRLCH TXC199-010935- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LAKE CHARLES LA 236 AM CST SUN FEB 1 1998 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LAKE CHARLES LA HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 335 AM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTHEASTERN TEXAS ...HARDIN COUNTY AT 235 AM... DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ABOUT 7 MILES SOUTHWEST OF SOUR LAKE. THE STORM WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH. THE STORM WILL REACH SOUR LAKE ABOUT 250 AM AND BE NEAR SILSBEE AND LUMBERTON AROUND 315 AM. THIS STORM IS PRIMARILY A LARGE HAIL PRODUCER. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH... DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND TORRENTIAL RAIN. FOR YOUR PROTECTION...SEEK SHELTER IN A STRONG BUILDING.
