MODERATE TO HVY RAINS CONTINUE. RAIN IS BACKED UP ALL THE WAY ACROSS
CENTRAL TN TO N AL. EVEN A LOT OF RAIN FROM N AL TO THE GULF COAST.
CONVECTION SOUTH OF HERE IS NOT CUTTING US OFF AT ALL. VWP SHOWS
STRONG SW FLOW JUST OFF THE SFC PUMPING LOTS OF MOISTURE INTO THESE
MOUNTAINS. BROAD AREA OF FFW/S ARE CURRENTLY IN EFFECT FOR SE KY AND
MOST OF E TN AS WELL. WE WILL LIKELY EXTEND ALL CURRENTLY WARNED
COUNTIES UNTIL LATER IN THE MORNING AT 500 AM. WATER VAPOR SAT LOOP
SHOWS DECENT TROPICAL CONNECTION.

FLASH FLOOD WATCH SHOULD DEFINITELY BE CONTINUED. PEOPLE IN FLOYD
COUNTY ARE BEING EVACUATED BY BOATLOADS TONIGHT AND TAKEN TO HOPSITALS
AND SHELTERS. LOTS OF PROBLEMS THERE. FLS WILL BE ISSUED LATER IN THE
MONRING WITH THE REPORTS SO FAR.

LOOKS LIKE WE MAY BEGIN TO GET OUT OF THIS RAIN SITUATION AFTER 18Z
TODAY BUT WE HAVE ANOTHER SHORT WAVE TO GO BETWEEN 12-18Z. MAYBE EVEN
A FEW TSTMS THIS MORNING WITH THIS NEXT SHORT WAVE.

THEN THERE IS THE RIVER SITUATION. MOST AREAS ARE FCST TO EXCEED FS AT
SOME POINT DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS. WATER POSES AN ONGOING PROBLEM.

WOULD REDUCE TEMPS TODAY TO MIDDLE 50S. TEMPS WON/T GO TO FAR UPWARD
WITH CLDS...PRECIP...AND CFP EXPECTED AROUND 18Z. OTHERWISE TEMPS LOOK
TO BE IN THE BALLPARK.
