AT 7AM RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 4 MILES SOUTHWEST OF
SONDHEIMER. THE STORM WAS MOVING NORTHEAST 45 MPH AND WILL MOVE THROUGH
ALSATIA AROUND 720 AM. LARGE HAIL IS LIKELY WITH THIS STORM.

A STATIONARY FRONTAL BOUNDARY REMAINS IN PLACE OVER THE LOWER
MISSISSIPPI VALLEY EXTENDING FROM THE NORTHWEST GULF OF MEXICO NORTHEAST
THROUGH THE JACKSON AND COLUMBUS AREAS EARLY THIS MORNING. THE AIR MASS SOUTH
OF THE FRONT IS VERY UNSTABLE AND SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL INCREASE
OVER THE AREA TODAY. THUNDERSTORMS OVER SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTH MISSISSIPPI
EARLY THIS MORNING HAVE PRODUCED HAIL UP TO 1 INCH IN DIAMETER.  SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE OVER MISSISSIPPI THROUGH TONIGHT.

ACTIVATION OF STORM SPOTTERS...HAM RADIO OPERATORS AND PUBLIC SAFETY
OFFICIALS WILL BE REQUIRED THROUGH TONIGHT.
