  SOUTHERN MADISON COUNTY IN CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI
  WESTERN RANKIN COUNTY IN CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI

* UNTIL 900 PM CDT

* AT 724 PM... NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
  CLUSTER OF STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE JACKSON METRO
  AREA. A WEATHER OBSERVER IN MADISON REPORTED TWO AND HALF INCHES
  OF RAIN IN A LITTLE OVER AN HOUR WITH THESE STORMS...AND AROUND AN
  INCH AND A THIRD OF RAIN HAD FALLEN AT THEB JACKSON AIPORT IN 20
  MINUTES.

* THESE RAIN AMOUNTS WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF ROADWAYS...STORM SEWERS
AND FLOOD PRONE AREAS. CREEKS AND STREAMS MAY ALSO COME OUT OF
THEIR BANKS.
