FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 630 AM EST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN WESTERN MAINE

   ...FRANKLIN COUNTY

IN NORTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE

   ...COOS COUNTY
 
AT 645 PM...DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR SHOWED A LARGE AREA OF RAIN
MOVING OVER COOS COUNTY NEW HAMPSHIRE AND OXFORD AND FRANKLIN
COUNTIES IN MAINE.  RADAR ESTIMATED THAT THIS BAND DEPOSITED
UP TO A HALF AN INCH OF RAIN DURING THE LAST HOUR.

A SECOND BAND OF HEAVY RAIN WILL EXIT EASTERN NEW YORK THIS EVENING
...REACHING NORTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE AND THE WESTERN MOUNTAINS OF
MAINE BY 8 PM.  THIS WILL BRING TOTAL RAINFALL THIS EVENING TO
AROUND AN INCH...WITH LOCAL AMOUNTS OF AROUND AN INCH AND A HALF.
THIS WILL CAUSE FLOODING...AS RAINFALL TOTALS OF AN INCH IN SIX
HOURS IS NEEDED TO SWELL SMALL RIVERS AND STREAMS OVER THEIR BANKS.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY.
VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.  IF
FLOODWATERS THREATEN YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS...MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
