APPALACHIANS. HALF-INCH DIAMETER HAIL WAS REPORTED NEAR NANTAHALA
AND FRANKLIN IN WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA.

CONDITIONS ARE VERY FAVORABLE THIS EVENING FOR THUNDERSTORMS TO
PRODUCE HAIL. A FEW OF THE STORMS MAY REACH SEVERE LEVELS AND
PRODUCE DIME-SIZED OR LARGER HAIL.
