THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN HASTINGS HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR PEOPLE IN...
  SMITH COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS

* UNTIL 800 AM CDT

* AT 4 AM... NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER MUCH OF SMITH COUNTY
  MOVING EAST AT 30 MPH. AN AREA OF MODERATE RAIN EXTENDED FURTHER
  WEST TO AROUND NORTON.

* THE SMITH CENTER SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT HAS REPORTED THAT ALL AREA
  CREEKS ARE OUT OF THERE BANKS. THEY REPORTED 3.6 INCHES OF RAIN IN
  SMITH CENTER AND APPROXIMATELY 5 INCHES OF RAIN IN ATHOL THROUGH
  3:45 AM THIS MORNING. THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE TO MOVE ACROSS THE
  AREA WITH ANOTHER 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN LIKELY BY 6:00 AM.
