THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN FORT WORTH HAS ISSUED A

   * FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR
     MCLENNAN COUNTY IN TEXAS
     INCLUDING WOODWAY...WACO AND HEWITT

   * UNTIL 200 PM CDT

   * AT 1150 AM CDT THE WACO-MCLENNAN EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT OFFICE 
     REPORTED ROAD CLOSURES DUE TO FLOODING IN THE WOODWAY-HEWITT-
     WEST WACO AREA. RADAR SHOWED MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN CONTINUING
     OVER MCLENNAN COUNTY AT 1150 AM... AND THIS WAS EXPECTED TO 
     CONTINUE THROUGH EARLY AFTERNOON. 

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THE RAINT WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES
AS WELL AS OTHER DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.

REMEMBER THAT MOST FLASH FLOOD FATALITIES ARE IN VEHICLES. DO NOT 
DRIVE VEHICLES INTO FLOODED LOW WATER AREAS.
