FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  800 AM CST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...

AT 208 AM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR DETECTED A LARGE AREA
OF RAIN AND NUMEROUS EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS...PRODUCING VERY HEAVY
RAIN...OVER NORTH TEXAS GENERALLY WEST OF A SHERMAN TO KILLEEN LINE. THE
ENTIRE AREA WAS SLOWLY MOVING EASTWARD WHILE THE INDIVIDUAL STORMS WERE
MOVING NORTHEAST AT 40 MPH. RADAR ESTIMATES THAT THE RAIN HAS BEEN
FALLING AT A RATE OF 1 TO 1.5 INCHES AN HOUR. THESE HEAVY RAINS FALLING
ON ALREADY SATURATED SOILS WILL RESULT IN FLASH FLOODING.  MOTORISTS
SHOULD BE ESPECIALLY CAREFUL AT LOW WATER CROSSINGS AND OTHER FLOOD
PRONE AREAS. THE RAIN WILL CONTINUE THROUGH SUNRISE.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
