THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  GONZALES COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS
  LAVACA COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS

* UNTIL 435 PM CDT

*A BAND OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE
NORTHWEST ALONG AND EAST OF THE LAVACA/DEWITT COUNTY LINE AND
ACROSS MUCH OF GONZALES COUNTY FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS.
ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO THREE INCHES CAN BE EXPECTED
THROUGH THE AFTERNOON.  RAINFALL OVERNIGHT AND THIS MORNING
PRODUCED AMOUNTS OF UP TO THREE INCHES.  RUNOFF WILL BE RAPID
THROUGH THE AFTERNOON CLOSING SECONDARY ROADS AND BRIDGES AND
FLOODING LOW LYING AREAS...LOW WATER CROSSINGS.  STREAMS AND CREEKS
ACROSS THE AREA WILL BE OUT OF BANKS.

GUSTY WINDS OF UP TO 40 MPH CAN BE EXPECTED WITH THE STRONGER
STORMS.

RESIDENTS AND MOTORISTS SHOULD EXERCISE EXTREME CAUTION THIS
AFTERNOON.  STAY TUNED TO NOAA WEATHER..LOCAL RADIO..TV..AND CABLE
TV RADIO FOR ADDITIONAL STATEMENTS AND WARNINGS.
