THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN COLUMBIA SC HAS ISSUED A

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...
  NORTHERN LEXINGTON COUNTY IN SOUTH CAROLINA
  SOUTHERN NEWBERRY COUNTY IN SOUTH CAROLINA

* UNTIL 530 PM EDT 

* AT 450 DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM MOVING 
  NORTHEAST ALONG THE NEWBERRY-LEXINGTON COUNTY LINE. THE STORM 
  WAS MOVING NORTHEAST 40 MPH AND WILL PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS.

* THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WILL BE NEAR...
  CHAPIN AT 510 PM

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES 
WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING. REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO
