THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BURLINGTON HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  ESSEX COUNTY IN NORTHERN NEW YORK

* UNTIL 620 PM EDT.

* AT 320 PM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN FROM AUSABLE FORKS AND
  KEESEVILLE TO NEAR KEENE VALLEY AND WESTPORT. THESE STORMS WERE
  DRIFTING VERY SLOWLY SOUTH.

* RAINFALL RATES OF 2 INCHES PER HOUR WERE OCCURRING WITH THESE
  STORMS WHICH WILL RESULT IN RAPID RISES AND FLOODING OF AREA RIVERS
  AND STREAMS.  THE AUSABLE AND BOQUET RIVERS ARE PARTICULARLY AT
  RISK.
