THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DENVER HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
     SOUTHEASTERN ELBERT COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL COLORADO
     SOUTHERN LINCOLN COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL COLORADO

* UNTIL 730 PM MDT

* THIS WARNING ENCOMPASSES ALL OF SOUTHERN LINCOLN COUNTY AND        
  REPLACES THE WARNING THAT WAS ISSUED EARLIER FOR THIS AREA. 

* AT 515 PM MDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED   
THUNDERSTORM WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN CONTINUED OVER SOUTHERN LINCOLN 
COUNTY.  THE STRONGER STORMS WERE LOCATED 16 MILES SOUTHWEST OF 
BOYERO WITH ANOTHER 6 MILES SOUTH OF KUTCH.  

* RADAR INDICATES 3 TO 4 INCHES OF RAIN HAD FALLEN IN THESE AREAS.   
  THE STORMS WERE SLOWLY MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST AT 5 MPH.  

LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE...FORDER...KARVAL...KUTCH...PUNKIN 
CENTER AND WILD HORSE POINT

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THESE STORMS WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL 
CREEKS AND STREAMS...COUNTRY ROADS...NORMALLY DRY WASHES AND ARROYOS 
...AS WELL AS FARMLAND ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS.  DO 
NOT CROSS FLOODED ROADWAYS AS THEY MAY BE WASHED OUT.
