THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBANY HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  SOUTHERN HERKIMER COUNTY IN CENTRAL NEW YORK

* UNTIL 1000 PM EDT

* AT 615 PM... NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN BETWEEN NEWPORT AND
  MIDDLEVILLE ALONG THE WEST CANADA CREEK AND ROUTE 28. THESE
  STORMS WERE SLOWLY MOVING SOUTHWEST AT 10 MPH. EXPECT RAPID
  RISES ALONG THE WEST CANADA CREEK THROUGH THE EVENING HOURS.

  DON'T DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD!

  AREA RESIDENTS SHOULD MONITOR FLOOD CONDITIONS... AND BE PREPARED
  TO MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND... SHOULD FLOOD WATERS THREATEN. IF FLASH
