THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBANY HAS ISSUED A

* FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  ULSTER COUNTY IN EASTERN NEW YORK

* UNTIL 1000 PM EDT SUNDAY EVENING.

* HEAVY RAIN DURING THE PAST 36 HOURS HAS EXCEEDED 4 INCHES IN
  PARTS OF THE CATSKILLS.

* HEAVY RAIN WILL CONTINUE  TO FALL THROUGH THIS EVENING WITH AN
ADDITIONAL 1 TO 1 1/2 INCHES POSSIBLE.  SMALL  STREAMS WILL OVERFLOW
THEIR BANKS.

* THE ESOPUS CREEK WAS RISING RAPIDLY.  AT ALLABEEN THE RIVER WAS
ALREADY NEAR FLOOD STAGE.  AT MT. TREMPER THE RIVER WILL REACH ITS
11 FOOT FLOOD STAGE BY LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND CREST BETWEEN 12 AND
13 FEET THIS EVENING.

DON'T DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD.  FLOOD WATERS
COULD HIDE DANGEROUS ROAD WASHOUTS.
