000 TTAA00 KTUL 080340 RRA TORTUL OKC143-147-080430- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TULSA OK 1039 PM CDT WED MAY 7 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TULSA HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1130 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA ...NORTHERN TULSA COUNTY...SOUTHERN WASHINGTON COUNTY AT 1038 PM RADAR INDICATED A POSSIBLE TORNADO 2 MILES NORTHEAST OF HOMINY OR 15 MILES WEST OF SKIATOOK. THE STORM PRODUCING THIS POSSIBLE TORNADO WAS MOVING EAST SOUTHEAST AT 30 MILES AN HOUR. SEVERAL TORNADOES HAVE BEEN REPORTED WITH THIS STORM. PERSONS IN SKIATOOK...SPERRY AND VERA SHOULD TAKE COVER NOW!!!! HAIL UP TO GOLFBALL SIZE ALSO MAY ACCOMPANY THIS STORM. THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM SITUATION. ACT QUICKLY. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO MOVE TO A SHELTER BELOW GROUND IF AVAILABLE. OTHERWISE...GO TO A SMALL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR POSSIBLE. STAY AWAY FROM OUTSIDE WALLS AND AVOID WINDOWS. ABANDON CARS AND MOBILE HOMES FOR A REINFORCED BUILDING OR GET IN A GROUND DEPRESSION. KEEP TUNED TO THIS STATION FOR THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETINS.
