000 TTAA00 KGTF 070024 RRA SVRGTF MTC005-015-070130- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GREAT FALLS MT 621 PM MDT FRI JUN 6 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GREAT FALLS HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 730 PM MDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN NORTH CENTRAL MONTANA ...SOUTHERN BLAINE COUNTY...EASTERN CHOUTEAU COUNTY AT 612 PM...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED 40 MILES EAST OF FORT BENTON. THIS STORM WAS MOVING TOWARDS THE NORTHEAST AT 25 MPH AND WILL REACH THE LLOYD AND CLEVELAND AREAS BY 715 PM. THIS STORM HAS A HISTORY OF PRODUCING GOLFBALL SIZE HAIL AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A STRONG BUILDING. DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS. DON'T USE TELEPHONES OR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES UNLESS IN AN EMERGENCY UNTIL THE STORM HAS PASSED. MOTORISTS SHOULD NOT DRIVE INTO LOW WATER CROSSINGS.
