IN SOUTHEAST ALABAMA ...NORTHERN HOUSTON COUNTY AT 413 PM CDT DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IN NORTHERN HOUSTON COUNTY 5 MILES NORTHEAST OF DOTHAN. THIS STORM WAS MOVING EAST AT 5 MPH AND WILL LIKELY PRODUCE LARGE HAIL. DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN...AND DEADLY LIGHTNING ARE ALL POSSIBLE IN A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM. SEEK SHELTER IN A STRONG BUILDING. STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS. DO NOT USE TELEPHONES OR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES. AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TALLAHASSEE FL 200 PM EDT FRI JUN 13 1997 SEA BRZ SHOWERS NOW MOVING WELL INLAND AND WILL BE INTO AL AND GA WITHIN THE NEXT HOUR OR SO. WOULD THINK THAT ONLY AN ISOLTD SHOWER WILL REMAIN OVER THE BIG BEND/PH BY EVENING. LOOKS LIKE ANOTHER NIGHT FOR SOME ST/FOG ACROSS THE AREA. MODELS SHOW A PRETTY GOOD S/W MOVING ACROSS THE TN VALLEY SAT. POSSIBLE ORGANIZED CONVECTION TONIGHT AND EARLY SATURDAY MAY PUSH AN OUTFLOW BOUNDARY INTO OUR AREA BY AFTERNOON. THIS MAY ENHANCE PCPN PROBS ACROSS THE NORTH WITH SCT SEA BRZ STORMS ALSO EXPECTED TO DVLP ACROSS THE BIG BEND/PH AND MOVE INTO AL/GA DURING THE AFTN. 30-50 PERCENT POPS LOOK IN ORDER DURING THE DAY...LOW POPS DURING THE EVENING.
