000 TTAA00 KTLH 140040 RRA SVRTLH FLC131-140130- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TALLAHASSEE FL 740 PM EST (640 PM CST) THU MAR 13 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TALLAHASSEE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 830 PM EST (730 PM CST) FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN NORTHWEST FLORIDA ...WALTON COUNTY AT 638 PM CST RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM MOVING INTO SOUTHWEST WALTON COUNTY. THIS STORM IS MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH AND WILL MOVE ACROSS THE CHOCTAWHATCHEE BAY AND INTO THE FREEPORT AND DE FUNIAK SPRINGS AREA AROUND 700 PM CST. THIS STORM HAS THE POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE STRONG WINDS AND POSSIBLY LARGE HAIL. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. REMEMBER... SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING.
