THUNDERSTORM AND FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 530 PM PDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...

IN WESTERN NEVADA 
     SOUTHERN WASHOE COUNTY 
     ...INCLUDING SUTCLIFFE..NIXON...WADSWORTH...
        THE GREATER RENO-SPARKS METROPOLITAN AREA.

     ALL STOREY COUNTY

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE MOVING FROM NEAR DAYTON NORTH TOWARD
VIRGINIA CITY AND THE RENO AREA. THESE STORMS HAVE A HISTORY OF
LOCALLY HEAVY DOWNPOURS...GOLF-BALL SIZE HAIL...AND GUSTY
WIND...AND ARE EXPECTED TO REACH VIRGINIA CITY BY 445 PM AND THE
RENO-SPARKS AREA BY 515 PM.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...
HEAVY RAIN...AND DEADLY LIGHTNING.  FOR YOUR PROTECTION MOVE TO
AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS.  

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  IT IS DIFFICULT TO JUDGE HOW DEEP THE WATER IS AND THE
ROAD MAY NOT BE INTACT.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD
BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
