IN SOUTHEAST NORTH CAROLINA ...NORTHEASTERN CUMBERLAND COUNTY AT 612 PM EDT...WEATHER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM OVER NORTHEAST CUMBERLAND COUNTY ALONG INTERSTATE 95 NEAR GODWIN...FALCON ...AND WADE. THE STORM HAS BEEN MOVING VERY SLOWLY NORTHEAST BUT DEVELOPING TOWARD THE SOUTHWEST WITH NET MOVEMENT BEING ALMOST STATIONARY. PEOPLE SHOULD BE ESPECIALLY ALERT FOR LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WIND. FREQUENT LIGHTNING AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN CAN POSE A DANGER WITH ANY THUNDERSTORM. SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY AND REPORT DAMAGE TO EMERGENCY OFFICIALS FOR RELAY TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE.
