000 TTAA00 KRDU 012128 RRA SVRRDU NCC127-183-012200- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RALEIGH/DURHAM NC 526 PM EDT THU MAY 1 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RALEIGH/DURHAM HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 600 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN NORTH CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA ...EASTERN WAKE COUNTY AND ALL OF NASH COUNTY WEATHER SERVICE RADAR AT 530 PM INDICATED THAT THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS MOVING THROUGH WAKE COUNTY WERE STILL CAUSING DAMAGE IN THE ROLESVILLE AND ZEBULON AREAS. THESE STORMS HAVE WINDS STRONG ENOUGH TO HAVE RIPPED HOLES IN SOME TRAILERS ROOFS AND LARGE HAIL. THESE STORMS ARE MOVING AT 35 MPH TO THE EAST. PEOPLE SHOULD BE ESPECIALLY ALERT FOR LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WIND. FREQUENT LIGHTNING AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN CAN POSE A DANGER WITH ANY THUNDERSTORM. SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY AND REPORT DAMAGE TO EMERGENCY OFFICIALS FOR RELAY TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE. &
