THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RALEIGH/DURHAM HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  115 AM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN NORTH CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA
 
   ...WAKE COUNTY
 
AT 12:10 AM WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF HEAVY
THUNDERSTORMS MOVING THROUGH WAKE COUNTY HAD PRODUCED RAINFALL TOTALS OF
OVER AN INCH IN THE PAST HOUR. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE
THROUGH THE COUNTY OVER THE NEXT HOUR. THE NEUSE RIVER BRIDGE AT HIGHWAY
401 BETWEEN RALEIGH AND ROLESVILLE HAS WATER ACROSS IT AND THE
HILLSBOROUGH STREET AREA IS ALSO FLOODED DUE TO THE HEAVY RAINS.
 
FLOOD WATERS ARE HARDER TO SEE AT NIGHT AND MOST FLASH FLOOD
FATALITIES OCCUR AT NIGHT.  AVOID DRIVING ACROSS FLOODED ROADWAYS.
WATER TWO FEET DEEP CAN FLOAT MOST CARS OFF THE ROAD.  RdEPORT
FLOODING TO LOCAL EMERGENCY OFFICIALS IMMEDIATELY.
