THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PITTSBURGH HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1230 PM EDT
FOR THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN NORTHWEST PENNSYLVANIA
 
   ...MERCER COUNTY
 
HEAVY RAIN THAT HAS BEEN OVER THE SHARON AREA OF WESTERN MERCER COUNTY
WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF ROADS AND OTHER POOR DRAINAGE AREAS. THIS HEAVY
RAIN CAN LAST THROUGH 11 AM WITH OVER THREE AND EVEN FOUR INCHES OF RAIN
EXPECTED IN SOME LOCATIONS.
 
SMALL STREAMS IN THE SHARON AREA WILL BE RUNNING HIGH AND CAN OVERFLOW
THEIR BANKS. KEEP CHILDREN AWAY FROM THE FAST DEBRnIS-LADEN CURRENTS.
 
DO NOT DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROAD.  THE WATER
MAY BE TOO DEEP TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT
IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
