THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PITTSBURGH HAS EXTENDED THE
FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1100 AM EST SUNDAY MORNING
FOR THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN EAST CENTRAL OHIO

   ...COSHOCTON COUNTY.

AT 905 AM...MINOR FLOODING CONTINUES ON THE WALHONDING RIVER NEAR
WARSAW...NEAR THE MOHAWK DAM. THE FLOODING IS CAUSED BY ICE JAMS.
RESIDENTS IN THE AREA REMAIN EVACUATED.

COLDER WEATHER MOVING IN WILL STOP WATER RUNOFF BUT COULD CONTINUE
TO BUILD ICE JAMS. LOCAL OFFICIALS CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE SITUATION.

AS ALWAYS THE MOVEMENT OF ICE JAMS IS DIFFICULT TO PREDICT. JAMS CAN
FORM...BREAK UP AND MOVE DOWNSTREAM...AND THEN JAM AGAIN. REMEMBER
FLOODING CAN OCCUR QUICKLY WHERE ICE JAMS EXIST...RESULTING IN
BACKWATER FLOODING.

DO NOT DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROAD...IT MAY BE
DEEPER THAN IT APPEARS.
