SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  615 PM EDT
FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN SOUTH CENTRAL CONNECTICUT
 
   ...MIDDLESEX COUNTY...EASTERN NEW HAVEN COUNTY
 
AND THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS
 
 
A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM LOCATED 5 MILES SOUTH OF MILFORD CONNECTICUT OVER
LONG ISLAND SOUND WILL COME ASHORE NEAR NEW HAVEN SHORTLY. THIS STORM
WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 45 MPH AND SHOULD CONTINUE ACROSS EASTERN NEW
HAVEN COUNTY AND THEN INTO MIDDLESEX COUNTY DURING THE NEXT HOUR. THIS
STORM HAS A HISTORY OF PRODUCING LARGE HAIL AND MAY ALSO PRODUCE
DAMAGING WINDS.
 
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 58
MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
