SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1145 PM EDT
FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTH CENTRAL CONNECTICUT
 
   ...NEW HAVEN COUNTY
 
AND THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS
 
 
AT 1045 PM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN FAIRFIELD COUNTY MOVING EASTWARD AT 50 MPH.
THESE STORMS WILL MOVE INTO NEW HAVEN COUNTY BY 1110 PM AND WILL PRODUCE
WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH...DEADLY LIGHTNING...HAIL...AND VERY HEAVY
RAIN.
 
WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A
STRONG BUILDING.  DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS.  DON'T USE TELEPHONES
OR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES UNLESS IN AN EMERGENCY UNTIL THE STORM
HAS PASSED.  MOTORISTS SHOULD NOT DRIVE INTO LOW WATER CROSSINGS.
