FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  645 PM EDT
FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTHEAST CONNECTICUT
 
   ...SOUTHEASTERN NEW LONDON COUNTY
 
RADAR WAS INDICATING A NEARLY STATIONARY THUNDERSTORM OVER SOUTHEASTERN
NEW LONDON COUNTY. RAIN WAS FALLING AT A RATE OF BETWEEN 1 AND 2 INCHES
PER HOUR. ALTHOUGH RIVERS AND STREAMS IN THE AREA SHOULD HANDLE THIS
AMOUNT...STREETS AND HIGHWAYS WILL FLOOD. SIGNIFICANT FLOODING IS LIKELY
OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS AS THIS STORM REMAINS NEARLY STATIONARY.
THIS STORM HAS ALSO PRODUCED MARBLE SIZE HAIL.
 
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
