FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  315 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE
 
   ...WARREN COUNTY
 
IN SOUTHEAST TENNESSEE
 
   ...VAN BUREN COUNTY
 
AT 114 PM CDT STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE MERGING OVER WARREN COUNTY IN
THE MCMINNVILLE AREA. THIS WILL RESULT IN TORRENTIAL RAINFALL FOR THE
NEXT HOUR OR SO LIKELY PRODUCING RAINFALL AMOUNTS IN EXCESS OF 2 INCHES
IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. SINCE THE GROUND IS ALREADY SATURATED FROM
PREVIOUS HEAVY RAINFALLL...CREEKS AND STREAMS WILL RISE QUICKLY.
 
IN ADDITION...SECTIONS OF VAN BUREN COUNTY HAVE RECEIVED OVER 1.5 INCHES
OF RAIN SINCE 11 AM. WITH MORE HEAVY RAIN ON THE WAY AND THE GROUND
SATURATED...FLASH FLOOD POTENTIAL WILL BE HIGH ACROSS VAN BUREN COUNTY.
 
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
