FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  400 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTHWEST ALABAMA

AT 715 PM...NWS DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR IN MOBILE,AL INDICATED TORRENTIAL
RAINFALL LOCATED ALONG THE WEST EDGE OF DANNY TO BE MOVING SLOWLY
EASTWARD ACROSS BALDWIN COUNTY ALABAMA. THIS IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE
THROUGH AT LEAST MIDNIGHT.
 
LATEST ONE HOUR GROUND TRUTH AND RADAR ESTIMATES INDICATE THAT BETWEEN
TWO AND FOUR INCHES OF RAIN PER HOUR IS FALLING IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE
INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS ON THE WEST SIDE OF DANNY FROM NEAR STOCKTON,AL
SOUTH TO POINT CLEAR. THIS HEAVY RAINFALL BAND IS SHIFTING SLOWLY EAST
OVER BALDWIN COUNTY.  SINCE 4 PM...UP TO SIX INCHES HAVE FALLEN ON THE
EASTERN SHORE...NEAR DAPHNE.  INDIVIDUAL STORMS WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE
FROM THE NORTH-NORTHWEST TO THE SOUTH-SOUTHEAST AS THEY ROTATE AROUND
DANNY'S WESTERN EYEWALL.
 
INITIALLY FLASH-FLOODING MAY BE A PROBLEM IN URBAN POOR DRAININAGE AREAS
AND NEAR SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS. AFTER THE FIRST THREE HOURS OF
HEAVY RAIN...HOWEVER...AN OVERALL GENERAL FLOODING AND INUNDATION OF
LOW-LYING AREAS AND MAJOR ROADWAYS CAN BE EXPECTED AS THE EVENING
PROGRESSES.
 
 
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
