000 TTAA00 KMKE 212155 FFWMKE WIC133-220150- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MILWAUKEE/SULLIVAN WI 454 PM CDT SAT JUN 21 1997 * FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR SOUTHEASTERN WAUKESHA COUNTY - SOUTHEASTERN WISCONSIN * UNTIL 850 PM CDT * SOME STREAMS/AREAS AFFECTED JEWEL CREEK LITTLE MUSKEGO LAKE * CAUSE AND EFFECT RECENT HEAVY RAINS FILLED A SMALL LAKE BEHIND LINNIELAC DAM JUST NORTH OF COLLEGE AVE ON THE BORDER OF OF THE CITIES OF MUSKEGO AND NEW BERLIN. DNR OFFICIALS MAY HAVE TO INTENTIONALLY BREECH THE WEAKENING DAM BY 6PM. FLASH FLOODING MAY OCCUR DOWNSTREAM. * FORECAST CONDITIONS OFFICIALS BELIEVE FLASH FLOODING WILL ONLY AFFECT JEWEL CREEK BELOW THE DAM AND THE LOWLANDS SURROUNDING LITTLE MUSKEGO LAKE.
