000 TTAA00 KMEM 132126 RRA SVRMEM TNC183-132200- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MEMPHIS TN 424 PM CDT FRI JUN 13 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MEMPHIS TN HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 500 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN WESTERN TENNESSEE ...WEAKLEY COUNTY AT 423 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WITH LARGE HAIL BETWEEN MARTIN AND PALMERSVILLE. MOVING NORTHEAST AT 25 MPH .. THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WILL BRING DAMAGING HAIL TO THOSE AREAS ALONG WITH DEADLY LIGHTNING AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. SIMILAR STORMS HAVE PRODUCED HAIL THAT RANGED FROM DIME SIZE TO THE SIZE OF NICKELS OVER BOTH CROCKETT AND GIBSON COUNTIES BETWEEN 410 PM AND 420 PM THIS AFTERNOON. .WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A STRONG BUILDING.
