THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ST LOUIS HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  100 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN NORTHEAST MISSOURI
 
   ...KNOX COUNTY
 
AT 1020 PM...SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE TO DUMP HEAVY RAINS OVER
KNOX COUNTY THIS EVENING. THE RADAR DETECTED ONE AND ONE HALF TO THREE
INCHES OF RAIN OVER THE NORTHERN AND CENTRAL PORTION OF THE COUNTY SINCE
7 PM. THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE NIGHT. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL
WILL BRING STREAMS TO BANKFULL AND CAUSE FLOODING OF LOW LYING AREAS.
 
IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED OR IMMINENT...MOVE QUICKLY TO
HIGHER GROUND. NEVER DRIVE INTO AN AREA WHERE WATER COVERS THE
ROAD...ESPECIALLY LOW-WATER BRIDGES.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODING. NTEVER DRIVE OR WALK INTO FLOOD WATER.
