A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WAS LOCATED FROM NEAR FRANKLINTON TO LAKE
PONTCHARTRAIN. THIS LINE OF STORMS WAS MOVING EAST AT 30 MPH.
THESE STORMS HAVE A HISTORY OF PRODUCING STRONG GUSTY WINDS THAT HAVE
DOWNED TREES IN TANGIPAHOA PARISH. COMMUNITIES IN THE PATH OF THESE
STORMS INCLUDE BOGALUSA AND SLIDELL.
 
A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA.  REMEMBER
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES
