IN SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA ...NORTH CENTRAL JEFFERSON PARISH AND THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS AT 3:34 SLIDELL RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS OVER NORTHERN JEFFERSON PARISH JUST SOUTH OF THE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT MOVING TO THE WEST NORTHWEST AROUND 10 MPH. IF YOU ARE CAUGHT OUTSIDE...SEEK SHELTER FROM THE WEATHER IN A STRONG BUILDING. DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN... AND DEADLY LIGHTNING ARE ALL POSSIBLE IN SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS. THE ATMOSPHERE REMAINS UNSTABLE WITH CONSIDERABLE MOISTURE. UPPER LEVEL WINDS ARE NORTH TO NORTHEAST AND WILL CHANGE LITTLE THROUGH THE PERIOD. SCATTERED THUMDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP OVER THE AREA THIS AFTERNOON AS TEMPERATURES REACH INTO THE 90S. HEAVY RAINFALL MAY OCCUR LOCALLY WITH MORE INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS CAUSING STREET AND SMALL STREAM FLOODING IN LOW LYING AREAS. ALSO STRONG GUSTY WINDS ARE LIKELY ILN STRONGER STORMS. HOWEVER CONDITIONS ARE SUCH THAT ORGANIZED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY IS NOT EXPECTED.
