000 TTAA00 KNEW 222335 RRA SVRNEW MSC109-230030- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NEW ORLEANS LA 633 PM CDT TUE APR 22 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NEW ORLEANS HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 730 PM CDT FOR RESIDENTS IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTH MISSISSIPPI ...NORTHERN PEARL RIVER COUNTY AT 630 PM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ABOUT 8 MILES NORTHWEST OF BOGALUSA IN NORTHEAST WASHINGTON PARISH LOUISIANA. THE THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING EAST AROUND 30 MILES AN HOUR. THIS SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WILL MOVE INTO NORTH PEARL RIVER COUNTY BEFORE 645 PM. COMMUNITIES IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM INCLUDES CROSS ROADS... POPLARVILLE AND HILLSDALE. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING.
