IN SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA ...BEAUREGARD PARISH AT 535 PM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM NEAR SINGER. THE COMMUNITIES OF SINGER AND DERIDDER ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM. MOVEMENT WAS NORTHEAST AT 10 MPH. IF YOU ARE CAUGHT OUTSIDE...SEEK SHELTER FROM THE WEATHER IN A STRONG BUILDING. DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN... AND DEADLY LIGHTNING ARE ALL POSSIBLE IN SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS. STAY INSIDE AWAY FROM WINDOWS UNTIL THE STORM HAS PASSED.

THIS SHOULD PROVIDE A GENERAL CHC POP CATEGORY THRU PERIOD AS LATE EVENING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS DUE TO SEA BREEZE KICK ACTIVITY WELL INTO EVE. DAYTIME HEATING AND ABUNDANT MOISTURE SHOULD ALLOW FOR PLENTY OF ACTIVITY IN THE EARLY AFTERNOON.
