000 TTAA00 KLCH 031025 SVRLCH TXC245-031130- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LAKE CHARLES LA 423 AM CST WED DEC 3 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LAKE CHARLES HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 530 AM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTHEAST TEXAS ...JEFFERSON COUNTY AND ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS AT 424 AM DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 15 MILES WEST OF NOME AND SOUR LAKE MOVING EAST AT 50 MPH. THIS THUNDERSTORM SHOULD REACH THE NOME AND SOUR LAKE AREAS BY 445 AM. BEAUMONT CAN EXPECT THIS STORM AROUND 5 AM. DAMAGING WINDS AND HAIL UP TO 1 INCH IN DIAMETER ARE INDICATED. WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A STRONG BUILDING. DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS.
