334 WUUS1 KJAN 270948 RRA SVRJAN MSC011-271045- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE JACKSON MS 447 AM CDT TUE MAY 27 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN JACKSON HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 545 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN NORTHWEST MISSISSIPPI ...BOLIVAR COUNTY AT 446 AM DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS APPROACHING WESTERN BOLIVAR COUNTY. THE LINE OF STORMS WAS MOVING EAST AT 35 MPH...AND THIS LINE OF STORMS WILL MOVE ACROSS MUCH OF BOLIVAR COUNTY BETWEEN 455 AND 545 AM. LARGE HAIL TO GOLFBALL SIZE AND DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH ARE LIKELY WITH THESE STORMS. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT.
